LEA governor & Chair of governors

As a previous pupil (circa 1970) of Pucklechurch Primary School, I am very pleased to be given the opportunity to take a role of Co-Opted Governor. Having very strong roots in the village and community, I recently returned to Pucklechurch following a full military career serving as an Army Officer around the globe. Having a keen interest in education, community spirit and living and working in a safe environment, I hope to be able to support the development of the school in whichever way I am able.

I am a foundation governor. I attend St Thomas a Becket, the church linked to the school and have done so since I was a child. I have lived in Pucklechurch for over 35 years and I also attended Pucklechurch Primary School as a child. My two children now attend the school. As a foundation governor, I hope to maintain and promote strong links between the church and school and local community. I also am a member of the Curriculum Team and am the Early Years governor where I support the school and staff in delivering a successful framework for the curriculum through the school and especially the Early Years Team.

Parent governor

I have been given the opportunity to get involved with overseeing the schools finances. As a maths leader in a primary school I take a special interest in helping children master and enjoy this core subject. I have been teaching 13 years and have experience of making decisions on school development and improvement. Having 2 children in the school I feel very privileged to have this chance to help in what ever way I can. I am passionate about creating a positive environment where all children can thrive and achieve.
